About Lakecipher

What is Lakecipher?

Lakecipher is an IT company based in Mayiladuthurai, Tamil Nadu. We build websites, online stores, mobile apps, custom software and smart contracts, and we do organic SEO and AI search work. It was founded in 2026 by Karthikeyan Govindan.

Where is Lakecipher located?

We are based in Koranad, Mayiladuthurai, Tamil Nadu 609001, also known as Mayavaram. Meetings are by appointment, and we visit clients within about 30 km. We work online with clients everywhere else.

Who will actually do my work?

Karthikeyan Govindan leads every project and writes the core engineering. Trusted freelancers help with design, content or extra capacity on larger jobs, and you'll know when they are involved.

You are a new company. Why should I trust you?

You shouldn't take it on faith. We have no client reviews yet, and we say so. What you can check is public: our prices, this website's own speed results, our published code, and our research. You also pay 50% only after you approve the finished work.

Which languages do you speak?

Tamil and English. Tamil content on your website is included in the price.

Prices and payment

How much does a website cost?

From ₹8,000 for up to 5 pages, and from ₹13,000 for up to 10 pages. The domain costs about ₹1,000 a year on top, paid by you to the registrar.

Why are your prices public?

Because it's the first thing everyone asks, and you shouldn't need a phone call to find out. Prices go up only if the work is larger, and that's agreed in writing first.

How do I pay?

50% to start and 50% after you approve the finished work, before launch. We accept UPI, bank transfer, card, cash and international transfer.

Are there any hidden yearly charges?

We don't charge any. You will have a domain renewal, and possibly hosting, but you pay those providers directly from your own account, so you can always see the real cost.

Is the first meeting free?

Yes, and so is a website check for local businesses. We'll tell you what's wrong and what to fix first, even if you never hire us.

Time and process

How long does a website take?

A 5-page site usually takes about 7 days, and a 10-page site about 14 days, once we have your text and photos.

What happens if you miss the date?

The delivery date is in writing, and the second 50% isn't due until you approve the finished work. So you aren't paying for something you haven't received.

How many changes can I ask for?

Two rounds of changes are included. Small corrections after launch are free for 30 days. Larger changes are quoted first, so there are no surprises.

How fast do you reply?

We aim to reply within 3 hours during the day. WhatsApp is the quickest way to reach us.

What happens after the website goes live?

You get all the logins, Google Search Console is set up in your name, and small fixes are free for 30 days. After that, you can come back for changes or hire anyone else. You aren't tied to us.

Who owns what

Who owns my domain and website?

You do. The domain and hosting are registered in your name using your own email address, and the code is yours once the project is paid for.

What if I want to leave you later?

You can. You already hold every login, so moving to another developer needs nothing from us.

How do I check who owns my current domain?

Ask your developer for the login to your domain registrar. If they won't share it, or the account is in their name, you don't really control your own website. Our guide explains how to fix that.

Google and AI search

Will my website rank on Google?

It will be built so Google can read it easily, but no honest company can guarantee a ranking. Results depend on competition, how many people search, and how well-known your business becomes.

How long until I show up on Google?

A new page can be indexed in days or weeks. Ranking well takes longer. Google says SEO usually takes four months to a year to show benefit.

Do I need a website if I have a Google Business Profile?

A profile may be enough for some small local businesses at first. A website adds what a profile can't: full prices, full answers, and a page you control. Our guide compares them honestly.

Will AI tools like ChatGPT recommend my business?

Nobody can promise that, because AI answers change between runs. We make your facts easy to find, and help you earn mentions on sites those tools already trust, then test the same questions every month.

Why don't you do Google Ads?

We do organic work only: SEO, local SEO and AI search. Ads can work, but they stop the moment you stop paying, and that isn't what we've chosen to specialise in.

Apps and software

Does my business need a mobile app?

Most small businesses don't. An app makes sense when customers come back often enough to keep it installed. Otherwise a fast website is usually better, and far cheaper.

How much does a mobile app cost?

Ours start at ₹60,000 for a simple first version, in about 5 to 8 weeks. Apps with live tracking, payments or several types of users cost more.

Can you build billing or school software?

Yes. Focused tools for billing, appointments, stock or fees start at ₹30,000. If ready-made software already fits, we'll tell you to use that instead.

Blockchain

Do you hold or trade cryptocurrency?

No. We write software only. We never hold, trade or manage anyone's crypto, and we don't give investment advice.

Can you recover my lost or stolen crypto?

No, and be very careful of anyone who says they can. "Recovery" services are a common way to scam people a second time.

What kind of blockchain work do you take?

Smart contracts, dApp front ends, non-custodial wallets and contract audits. We refuse fake tokens, "flash USDT" and anything meant to mislead buyers.
