Mobile app development
Lakecipher builds Android and iOS apps from ₹60,000 for a simple first version, usually in 5 to 8 weeks. We use React Native for both platforms, or native Kotlin when an app needs to get the most from Android. You own the code and the store accounts.
Price and time
| Starts at | ₹60,000 |
|---|---|
| What that covers | A simple first version. Apps with live tracking, payments or several user types cost more. |
| Time | 5 to 8 weeks |
| Payment | 50% to start, 50% after you approve |
Who this is for
- A business whose customers come back often enough to keep an app installed
- A founder testing an idea who needs a first version, not a finished platform
- A school, clinic or delivery service with a specific daily job to make easier
What's included
- A written list of what the first version will and won't do
- App design and build for Android, and iOS if you need it
- The backend and admin panel your app needs
- Help publishing on Google Play and the App Store
- All code and accounts in your name
What isn't
- Google Play's one-time $25 fee and Apple's $99 yearly fee, paid by you to them
- Server costs after launch, paid by you to the provider
An honest note. Lakecipher has no published client app on the stores yet. If you want a long list of store apps from a vendor, we aren't that company today. We can show you architecture, code and test results instead.
How it works
1. Decide if you need an app
Many businesses need a good website instead. People rarely install an app for a shop they visit twice a year. We'll say so before you spend money.
2. Cut the first version down
We list every feature, then remove what the first users don't need. This is what keeps the price and the timeline under control.
3. Build in weekly steps
You get a test version to install on your own phone every week, so problems surface early.
Questions about mobile apps
How much does a mobile app cost in India?
Ours start at ₹60,000 for a simple first version. Food delivery or ride apps have several separate apps and live tracking, so they cost far more. The honest answer depends on how many user types and live features you need, so we quote after a written feature list.
Do I need both Android and iOS?
Often not at first. In smaller Indian towns most of your users are likely to be on Android. Starting with one and adding the other later can save money, and React Native keeps most of the code shared.
Flutter or React Native?
Both can do the job. We work in React Native and in native Kotlin, so that's what we recommend. Be wary of anyone who says one is right for every project.
Who owns the app?
You do. The code, the store accounts and the server accounts stay in your name, so you can move to another developer at any time.
